Get to know Josh Bryant, Physiotherapist

Let’s meet Physio LDN physiotherapist, Josh Bryant!

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Cornwall until I was 10 and then moved to London.

What is your first memory?

My Dad and I made cut outs of the pictures on my advent calendar and made a book naming each picture underneath. I was 3 years old so probably just watched my Dad do the whole thing.... but I took full credit at the time.

When did you become a physio?

I graduated in physiotherapy at St Georges University of London in 2014. During my studies there I worked as a gym instructor and PT. This was perfect for me as weight lifting is a passion of mine and I was able to train while I worked.

Why did you become a physio?

Health and fitness has always been my passion. I worked as a personal trainer for 3 years before studying physiotherapy and decided I wanted to expand my knowledge in order to help people feel healthy from an injury free perceptive as well as a fitness one.

What do you do for a hobby?

I weight train 5 times per week and do Thai boxing 3 times per week. I also try and do gymnastics once per week if I have time

What is your favourite thing to do in London?

As well as being able to go to a variety of different gyms, I also love finding new cocktail bars in London.

Where do you like to dine? Give us your top 3

Patara (Thai ), Las Iguanas - they have the best cocktails and its always 2 for 1, Mogul (Indian restaurant in Greenwich)

Tube? Bus? Walk? Drive?

Tube to work. If everything was closer I'd walk everywhere.

What is your favourite go to exercise and why?

My favourite exercise is Incline dumbbell chest press! Love a chest session...who doesn't?!?

Name 3 short term goals for 2020

Learn how to planche, to have a Thai boxing fight, to complete my strength and conditioning course

Tell us one of your long term goals?

To be able to do a round off to back flip consistently.

If you were an animal what animal would you be and why?

I would probably be a dog because I'm loyal and put all my effort into my loved ones....I also love attention and eating...just like a dog…

What 3 things would you like to take with you if I locked you in clinic?

Weights, food and a laptop I can watch back to back episodes of Game of Thrones and Power.

How would you escape from clinic?

If I had those 3 things I'd probably not even bother trying to escape.

If someone wrote a biography about you what would the title be?

Life on cloud 9
